About the Role
Northland is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance service requests and work orders. Duties include HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping tasks. The role also involves completing apartments turnovers for scheduled move-ins in a timely manner, ensuring safety and efficiency. The maintenance team maintains high levels of professionalism and customer service, responding to after-hours emergencies and being on-call, including nights and weekends.
Qualifications and Requirements
Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with staff, residents, and vendors.
Owns necessary hand tools to perform job functions; other power tools are provided.
Travel may be required to assist other properties or attend training classes.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of the on-call responsibility.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds. Must work inside and outside in all weather conditions, and may operate a golf cart on the property.
