About the role
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests and work orders including, but not limited to, HVAC, electrical, pool maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and housekeeping items.
- Work safely and efficiently to complete apartments turnovers for scheduled move-ins.
- Handle after-hours emergency calls and be on-call, as needed, including nights and weekends.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and vendors.
- All maintenance employees are required to have their own hand tools to carry out job functions - other power tools will be provided.
- Must be able to work nights, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of the on-call responsibility.
Qualifications
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and climb, bend, and squat.
- Must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- May be required to operate a golf cart on the property.
