Maintenance Technician

About the role

We are seeking a polished, engaging, and professional Maintenance Technician to join our growing and dynamic property management company. Responsibilities

• Make ready units for new move-ins.
• Complete grounds work such as grounds pickup, blowing breezeways, and light landscaping.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g., wall switches, outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, and cords).
• Perform minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., repair leaks in drains and faucets, unclog drains, add new lines).
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work (e.g., preparing surfaces, applying paints/stains/varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles).
• Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems (certification required). Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance programs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
• Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate concerns.
• Work flexible hours and comply with safety regulations while maintaining clean and orderly work areas.
• Complete other tasks as directed and assigned.

Requirements

• Skilled advanced trade experience in maintenance and repairs.
• HVAC certification and knowledge of HVAC systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including after-hours emergencies.
• Commitment to safety and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
