Maintenance Technician

Join our team and make a lasting impact. As a Maintenance Technician at New Story Schools, you will help create and maintain safe, functional, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections across school facilities
• Maintain building grounds, equipment, and tools to ensure operational readiness
• Address and resolve maintenance requests promptly to prevent safety hazards
• Cook up with outside vendors to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
• Support snow removal, landscaping, and facility upkeep throughout the year

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in general maintenance or repair services
• Basic knowledge of drywall repair, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems
• HVAC equipment and controls experience preferred; training provided
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between regional school sites
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
