Duties and Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other personnel and/or service providers, contractors, and professionals.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure proper operation and safety.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency repairs.
- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs as needed.
- Maintain agency vehicles, tools, and equipment to assure safe and proper working condition.
- Maintain well-manicured and safe grounds/facilities.
- Assist with safety and compliance inspections in accordance with agency policies and state regulations.
- Support the setup, relocation, or repair of office furniture and fixtures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders and inspection logs.
- Coordinate with vendors or contractors when outside services are required.
- Be available for after-hours emergencies, as needed.
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe work environment.
- Be able to send and receive emails including updating leadership of project completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the New Horizons’ Leadership.
- Ranch- Assist with any needs of the water plant, lift station, and wastewater Treatment Plant.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of general repair techniques in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and safety procedures.
- Ability to coordinate a schedule and prioritize a job list.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in various indoor and outdoor environments, including residential, administrative, and recreational settings.
- May be exposed to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and occasional hazards related to maintenance activities.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to respond to facility needs or emergencies.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity required for operating tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Must be able to visually inspect work and identify potential issues.
