Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on production lines, systems, and equipment, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems.
  • Identifies the root cause of equipment failures.
  • Performs basic equipment diagnosis for both electrical & mechanical issues.
  • Conducts physical inspections regularly checking systems and equipment to ensure they are up to standards and running efficiently.
  • Finds and repairs potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Must have an understanding and experience in all phases of 110-480 volt systems with higher voltage experience preferred.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs all standard electrical components and detects minor equipment problems to correct them before they become major issues.
  • Disassembles/reassembles equipment such as gearboxes, cylinders, pumps, valves, etc., and repairs/replaces worn or defective parts.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Troubleshoots PLC systems and other control systems and installs wiring systems for power and control.
  • Troubleshoots, installs, and repairs AC/DC motors, starters, relays, and drives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of maintenance / installation experience.
  • GED or High School Equivalent.

Skills

  • Experience operating different types of powered industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of overhead crane, drill press, and mills.
  • Forklift certification a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to think critically, analyze problems, and come up with effective and efficient solutions is crucial.
  • Frequently lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, bend, twist, and reach.
  • Frequently work at heights greater than 20 feet from an aerial work platform.
  • Wear and use the appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the assigned uniform correctly while on duty.
  • Meet all required attendance standards and expectations.
