Maintenance Technician

MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Maintenance Technicians to join our team at the Cleveland Cliffs Facility in Middletown, OH. These individuals will perform routine maintenance activities and daily manual labor tasks in an industrial environment.

Schedule

• Rotating between 1st and 2nd shifts
• 1st Shift: Monday - Sunday, 6:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
• 2nd Shift: Monday - Sunday, 2:45 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Services and rebuilds slide gates for tundishes and ladles in the Caster Department
• Assembles, installs, and repairs equipment such as springs, guide rails, upper & lower frames, and hydraulic cylinders
• Demonstrates use of calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, taps, dies, and other basic hand tools
• Works at heights with confidence and commitment to safety
• Operates powered industrial trucks, scissor lifts, etc.
• Follows company and customer safety protocols, PPE usage, and reporting

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and technical procedures
• Consistently adheres to PPE requirements, safety rules, policies, and procedures at customer locations
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including proportions, percentages, area, and volume
• Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and physical
• Minimum of 1 year using tools in an industrial setting
• Minimum of 6 months experience welding

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification
