Maintenance Technician
Role Mission
The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring equipment uptime, facility reliability, and operational continuity. This hands-on role supports preventive maintenance, equipment rebuilds, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a role model within the maintenance team and a key partner to production and support functions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the preventive maintenance (PM) system and spare parts inventory
- Perform furnace and equipment rebuilds to prevent unscheduled downtime
- Collect and analyze equipment data to identify improvement opportunities
- Plan and execute maintenance repairs and projects, including coordination with external service providers
- Serve as a key partner to production and support functions across the organization
- Support installation, repair, and maintenance of machines, furnaces, and facility systems
- Lead assigned continuous improvement projects
- Maintain employee performance and ensure training competency
- Maintain adherence to safety processes and procedures
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and safety
- Provide hands-on support as required to meet operational needs
Major Challenges
- Maintaining PM programs across multiple equipment types
- Supporting long-term equipment uptime goals (3–5 years)
- Cooking long-term equipment uptime goals (3–5 years)
- Coordinating maintenance schedules with production demands
- Prioritizing and communicating multiple requests from across the organization
- Engaging OEMs and external resources to resolve equipment issues
Success Metrics
- 100% completion of identified safety opportunities
- 100% of work orders completed within 7 days of generation
- Equipment uptime improvement from 95% to 98% over a 3–5-year period
- Maintenance team competency maintained at 100%
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Mechanical aptitude; machining, fabrication, MIG welding, fork truck operation
- Basic electrical and PLC knowledge
- Problem-solving And Project Management Skills
- Basic understanding of hydraulics and presses
Required Experience & Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment
- Prior Maintenance Technician Experience
- Familiarity with PM systems (LIMBLE or similar)
- Familiarity with ERP systems, documentation, recordkeeping, and purchasing platforms (e.g., NetSuite)

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $69,200.00 - $103,800.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
