Maintenance Technician
About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance operations at assigned properties, ensuring all buildings and grounds meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems across multiple properties.
- Manage and document preventive maintenance schedules and work orders using Yardi.
- Ensure timely responses to work orders, tenant emergencies, and make-ready assignments for vacant units.
- Respond to and work the after-hours work scheduled when assigned.
- Complete and close out all work orders.
- Complete regular inspections and assist in preparation for HUD Inspire inspections.
- Maintain a professional appearance, demonstrate professionalism with residents, peers, and other staff members, and provide excellent customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification or degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in property, apartment, or public housing maintenance, including advanced troubleshooting and repair.
- Demonstrated some knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and building codes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Proficiency with digital work order tracking systems.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in varying environmental conditions.

Benefits
