Job Summary
Job Duties/Responsibilities and Requirements
- Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
- Diagnosis, calibration, maintenance, and repair of control systems and processes, utilizing knowledge of electronics, sensors, electrical meters and system control techniques
- Troubleshoot electrical controls related process issues
- Maintain safety standards of equipment and work area and perform all duties in a safe manner
- Able to work extended or flexible hours/shifts as required
- Performing routine maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, changing filters and performing PMs
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Repairing damaged electrical wiring caused by shorts or severed lines
- Keeping tools and equipment clean, organized and in good condition
- Notifying management when parts orders are needed for repairs
- Conducting equipment inspections to identify issues
- Updating work orders, writing notes about services performed and closing requests upon completion
- Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders
- Must work well in a team environment
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance, with a strong background in equipment and machinery repair
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); a related degree from a technical college is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Lifting: Occasionally raises objects from a lower to a higher position or moves objects horizontally from position-to position. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Push/Pull: Occasionally uses upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward at the waist. Weight is usually less than 50 lbs.
- Standing: Standing for moderate levels of time. Infrequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. In frequently more than 30 minutes at a time.
