Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude, self-motivated, and self-directed. Our maintenance staff are key members of our property team who interact with residents while performing general repairs and preventative maintenance, including HVAC repair, electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks
• Conducting move-in/move-out inspections
• Ensuring adequate inventory levels for required parts
• Keeping the service shop clean and organized
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors, including trash pickup and snow removal
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing

Requirements

• 1-3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience
• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and on-call availability
• A high school diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
