Maintenance Technician
About the role
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating and static mechanical equipment to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the production facility.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, install, and modify mechanical equipment and systems, including pumps, piping, valves, bearings, gears, gaskets, fittings, and related components.
- Diagnose equipment failures, isolate malfunctions, disassemble equipment, and complete necessary repairs or component replacements to restore operational performance.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machine tools to perform maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
- Execute scheduled maintenance activities and maintain accurate work order history and equipment records within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Complete and document predictive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance and reliability standards.
- Manage critical spare parts inventory to support equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime.
- Maintain the maintenance shop and parts warehouse to ensure a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Work independently to make technical decisions, escalate complex issues to management when appropriate, and support continuous safe and reliable plant operations.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) years of experience in an industrial manufacturing, production, or maintenance environment.
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment and systems in an industrial setting.
Strong computer skills with experience using maintenance management systems (CMMS), documentation tools, and standard business applications.
Ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and effectively prioritize maintenance activities.
Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support continuous plant operations and respond to maintenance issues as needed.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret equipment drawings, technical documents, and maintenance-related schematics.
