Maintenance Technician

Location: Norfolk, Virginia – Full‑time position.

Kotarides Companies is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Maintenance Technician. The company manages a portfolio of over 4,500 apartments, handling everything from planning and building to lifetime property management, and retains ownership of all established communities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance as directed by the Property Manager and Senior Maintenance Technician.
• Ensure timely completion of resident service requests.
• Ensure timely turnover of vacant units under direction of the Property Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness of the community.
• Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, expenditures, apartment make‑ready status, work‑in‑progress, etc.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of pertinent laws and EPA and OSHA regulations governing storage and management of hazardous materials.
• Participate in after‑hours on‑call rotation.
• Be available to report to work during inclement‑weather events for property clean‑up and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment or similar maintenance.
• HVAC Certification – Type I and Type II required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay

$27.00 per hour.
