Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on hydraulic and pneumatic machines, electrical or propane lift trucks, and industrial compressors
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts
• Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently
• Prepares reports documenting work performed
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
• Schedules regular maintenance on machines with managers
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Thorough understanding of machines and tools
• Familiarity with 110/208/220/480-volt circuits and wiring
• Experience with welding and fabrication
• Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints
• Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Familiarity with Slick 500, Idec PLC’s, ladder logic

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Completion of vocational or skilled trades program is required

Skills

• Manual dexterity and stability for precision work
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials

Pay

Generous Pay commensurate with experience and/or education and commission.
