Maintenance Technician
Job Purpose
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safety, quality, cost and efficiency of his or her Team. The Maintenance Technician will have an in-depth knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with other team members to formulate objectives and achieve requirements.
- Follow effective Preventative Maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability.
- Technical expertise for equipment and maintenance process.
- Follow Health and Safety procedures and precautions.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years Maintenance experience.
- (Preferred) 1 to 2 years of Manufacturing Maintenance Experience.
- (Preferred) HVAC Experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance procedures.
- Knowledge and Understanding of Health & Safety regulations.
- Must have a very thorough understanding of mechanical processes all over the plant.
- Must be able to effectively PM all mechanical equipment in the plant.
- Must be able to trouble shoot and maintain all HVAC and Fire systems in the facility.
- Must have a great understanding of the furnace system, and the batching process.
- Must be able to trouble shoot and maintain and Fabricate all plumbing systems in the facility.
- Must be able to weld with Tig, Mig and Stick welders.
- (Required) Must be able to lay out and build complicated pipe systems.
- 10 year’s of millwright experience. (minimum)
Compensation
$22.50 - $23.00 / Hour
Working Conditions
- Fast Paced Environment in a Manufacturing operation.
- The job will normally be in a 24 hour 7 day a week facility with normal business hours, however this position could have overtime, and call ins.
- Area is not climate controlled, and subject to extreme temperatures especially around the melting area.
- Other areas have numerous chemical tanks and require respirator use in batch area.
- Other areas the floors are very wet and require care when walking and working around.
Physical Requirements
- Require physical inspection of all areas of the operations several times a day.
- Requirement to be on the floor approximately 90% of the time.
- Must be able to walk entire operations, climb stairs and vertical ladders to access the manufacturing areas.
