Position Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair 110V, 220V, and 480V electrical systems and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain three-phase motors, control panels, wiring systems, and industrial electrical components.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs and automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical problems and identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Absorb and assist with installation and modification of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot control circuits, sensors, switches, relays, and other electrical components.
  • Work closely with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Ensure electrical work is completed in accordance with applicable safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures.
  • Accurately document repairs, installations, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Respond to equipment issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Participate in maintenance projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Complete required company and job-specific training.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Perform additional maintenance and electrical responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2-5 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • A technical certification, trade school training, or an associate degree in Electrical Technology is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
  • Experience working with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting PLCs, preferably Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and industrial safety practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a maintenance team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing/chemical plant environment with exposure to noise, heat, machinery, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to safely utilize required PPE and follow all plant safety procedures.
