The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity and operational excellence of our facilities. This position performs diverse skilled and semi-skilled tasks across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Through proactive maintenance, timely repairs, and strong problem-solving abilities, you'll ensure our facilities remain safe, compliant, and fully operational—directly supporting JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional property management services. What your day-to-day will look like

  • Perform routine inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and compliance issues across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
  • Complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC support, roofing, and grounds maintenance in a timely and professional manner
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, evaluate equipment conditions, and make recommendations to prevent costly downtime while documenting all work activities accurately
  • Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests, including participation in shared on-call rotation for after-hours support

  • Troubleshoot reported problems, determine effective corrective measures, coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs, and ensure all work areas are clean upon completion
  • Aid in moving and placing furniture, fixtures, and equipment using proper equipment and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with proven ability to obtain/demonstrate electrical and mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Ability to understand mechanical problems and solve them effectively with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective communication skills
  • Experience performing maintenance and repairs across multiple trades (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC)
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work orders and maintenance activities
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and building management systems
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors for specialized repair services
  • Knowledge of compliance requirements and facility safety standards
  • Previous experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance
  • Basic computer skills for work order management and documentation systems
  • HVAC, electrical, or plumbing certifications
  • Experience with emergency response and after-hours maintenance support
