Core Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing, packaging, and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process control systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Diagnose equipment failures, determine root cause, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Maintain production equipment including pumps, piping systems, valves, mixers, filling equipment, packaging machinery, conveyors, and related manufacturing systems.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities while maintaining accurate maintenance documentation.
- Install, modify, and assist with commissioning new equipment and manufacturing systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Order replacement parts and maintain accurate inventory records in accordance with company procedures.
- Partner with Operations to prioritize maintenance activities and communicate equipment status throughout the workday.
- Perform facility maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC support, compressed air systems, and general building repairs as needed.
- Aid in equipment improvements that enhance safety, quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Train production personnel on basic equipment operation and routine maintenance practices.
- Cook up to 50 pounds regularly.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and process equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and basic electrical troubleshooting preferred.
- Experience using machine shop equipment including welders, drill presses, grinders, saws, lathes, and milling machines.
- Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Ability to diagnose equipment failures independently and develop effective repair solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and maintenance management software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
