Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns across stamping, polishing, finishing, plating, and packaging equipment, returning machines to running condition with minimal disruption.
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance, including inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and component replacement, following established PM schedules and standard work.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problems on production equipment, escalating more complex faults to senior maintenance staff.
- Help maintain spare parts and shop supplies so the right parts and tools are on hand when needed.
- Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO); become an authorized employee on assigned equipment.
- Check that equipment is in a safe condition guarding in place, emergency stops functional and report or correct safety deficiencies before returning a machine to service.
- Available to respond to urgent equipment issues outside regular hours when needed.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
What You Bring
- 1+ years of maintenance or hands-on mechanical experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting; strong candidates developing in the trade will be considered.
- Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn comfortable using hand and power tools and working on production machinery.
- Basic electrical awareness and the judgment to know when to escalate to senior staff.
- Reliable, safety-minded, and able to follow direction and standard procedures.
- Willingness to learn and follow LOTO and other plant safety standards.
- Able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with stamping presses, plating/electroplating lines, or metal-finishing equipment.
