Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot machines and auxiliary equipment, with a strong emphasis on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine maintenance.
- Perform oiling and greasing of all machines.
- Assist in the maintenance and organization of the Maintenance Shop and other areas housing maintenance items/tools.
- Fabricate part containment as needed in production areas.
- Maintain and place tops on machines and tables according to FDA guidelines/requirements.
- Assist with addressing safety issues.
- Complete monthly Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks per the program.
- Inform the Technical Manager of needed maintenance supplies.
- Maintain physical facility upkeep, including plumbing, basic electrical, and mechanical tasks.
- Comply with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards by promoting a food safety culture.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Compliance, Collaboration, and Availability
- Comply with company policies and procedures, with special attention to safety regulations.
- Report discrepancies or concerns to Shift Supervisors, Quality Control, or Management.
- Ensure quality of work performed.
- Travel if required.
- Report promptly at the designated start time and return from breaks on time.
- Follow Work Instructions, Visual Aids, and Work Orders.
- Report quality concerns.
- Clock in and out of payroll and visual systems accurately.
- Be courteous and helpful to others.
- Use proper ID techniques for traceability during production or inspection.
- Work assigned shifts and days, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
