Maintenance Technician

Troubleshooting and Repair

Troubleshoot and repair items including, but not limited to: conveyor belts, loadout equipment, and mobile and stationary equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, including, but not limited to; greasing, changing oil, looking for defects during service session, torque, etc.

Install and change: motors, chains, gear boxes, differentials and/or suspension work.

Conduct cutting (Oxy and acetylene) welding and rigging procedures.

Conduct pre-shift inspections to ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Operate forklift, front-end loader, and other heavy equipment.

Read prints and diagrams.

Determine if work areas are safe and observe all OSHA and Intrepid’s safety rules and policies.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial work setting doing maintenance work.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 10HR.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to weld, cut, grind, and work with steel and poly pipelines.
• Knowledge of pumps, seals, packing, and bearings.
• Ability to problem solve, learn processes quickly, and stay calm in a stressful environment.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

• Regularly required to lift heavy objects (50lbs <=).
• Frequently exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
• Frequent exposure to confined spaces.
• Frequent exposure to work at heights on occasion.
• Frequent visual inspections.
• Frequent precise hand and finger movements.
• Frequent twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching and grasping.
• Frequent climbing stairs and/or ladders.
• Frequent perception of color differences.

Schedule

A 40 hour a week work schedule will be required with call outs as part of the job.

Call outs are a necessary part of the job.
