Maintenance Technician

About the role

Pine Lake Corn Processors (PLCP), a subsidiary of Innovative Ag Services, Co., is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for its Pine Lake facility in Central Iowa. The role reports to the Pine Lake Maintenance Manager and focuses on safe, quality, and efficient equipment maintenance and repair to support PLCP operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain required licenses, physicals, and certifications necessary for the job.
• Oversee maintenance shop operations, including scheduling, repairs, and inventory control.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and warehouse work areas.
• Operate and maintain equipment and facilities at the location.
• Participate in safety and job-related training programs.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding safety and conduct.
• Create a positive, professional image for customers and the community.
• Perform other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of various machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• High level of initiative, effort, and commitment to completing assignments efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to convey information effectively in written or oral form.
• Ability to organize, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Basic math skills for performing operational calculations.
• Preferred: 10 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to work safely in challenging environments, such as catwalks and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements

• Static strength to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and legs.
• Trunk strength to use abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously over time.
• Repetitive motion tasks.
• Exposure to seasonal weather, outdoor conditions, and agricultural products (agricultural environment).
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for some tasks.
