Overview

The Maintenance Technician participates in maintaining and enhancing the physical integrity of the community. This position is responsible for ensuring a clean and well‑maintained living environment for residents, visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining a consistent commitment to an excellent customer experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Follow practices for the safe operation, maintenance and repair of all on‑site equipment, including compliance with all health, safety and OSHA programs, policies, and procedures.
• Responsible for detailed turnover of apartments, including painting, carpentry, drywall patch/repair, appliance maintenance, and completion of a detailed make‑ready checklist.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner, including after‑hours “on call” maintenance requests.
• Participate in the on‑call rotation with the rest of the Maintenance Team.
• Assist with the inspection of public areas and resident apartments to ensure proper maintenance and standards are achieved and sustained.
• Keep storage areas, tools, and equipment secure at all times.
• Maintain compliance and attention to company policy while delivering a high level of customer service.
• Participate in training workshops and safety meetings as necessary.

Skills/Abilities

• 1–3 years relevant maintenance experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, self‑directed entrepreneurial environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lb. and work 8–12‑hour standing shifts.
• Must be able to work weekends and be available for on‑call emergencies.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
