- Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment issues; replace faulty components as needed.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform and document scheduled maintenance activities to keep equipment running optimally.
- Equipment Reliability: Maintain equipment in top condition and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and maintenance procedures.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities meet OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards.
- Tools and Equipment: Safely operate cranes, hoists, hand/power tools, precision measurement tools, and electronic testing devices.
- Collaboration: Work with operations and other departments to resolve equipment issues.
- Inventory Management: Maintain parts and tools inventory for timely repairs.
- Documentation: Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Additional Duties: Operate machines as needed for troubleshooting or to support production during peak periods.
What Skills and Experience Do I Need?
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience & Technical Skills:
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent technical education and work experience.
- Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings; preferred.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills (480 volts and lower); preferred.
- Basic familiarity with instrumentation (level, flow, temperature), PLCs, and HMIs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of conveying systems, rotating equipment, fans, pneumatics, and packaging equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, and enter confined spaces.
- Welding skills (stick/MIG; stainless preferred) a plus
Communication Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively across teams.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Employees are required to wear appropriate PPE based on the task and environment.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $22 - $31 per hour
- Annual Bonus Target: Harvest and Christmas bonus
