Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for daily inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues that may impact operations. Other duties include maintenance of boiler and HVAC equipment, electrical and other equipment, and general maintenance of the facilities and grounds. Electrical, communications, and/or systems, IWMS, BMS experience is preferred. This position receives direction from the Facilities Manager.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Certification from a Vo-tech or trade school, preferred
• Minimum of one year of verifiable and successful building operations experience
• Experience in a medical setting or with medical equipment preferred

License/Certifications

• Valid MT drivers' license
• Low Pressure Boiler Operators License within one year of hire

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Current working knowledge of boilers and low-pressure boiler operator's license
• Previous experience in building operations a plus
• Computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to work with a variety of equipment, analyze, and solve complex problems
• Current skills in welding, soldering, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, grounds care, and equipment operation, carpentry, concrete, and landscaping required
