Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Horsham Center for Jewish Life is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. Located in picturesque North Wales, Pennsylvania, our 70+ acre campus offers a unique environment for seniors to thrive. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations to our buildings, equipment, and grounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and renovations to buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other building systems
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions and breakdowns
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless delivery of services
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency repairs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or degree in a related field preferred
• 1+ year of experience in maintenance or a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders or scaffolding as needed
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
