Maintenance Technician

About the role
This position maintains facility and manufacturing equipment through preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and rapid response. As part of a new facility, you will help commission new manufacturing equipment, launch products, and shape the maintenance department’s processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day maintenance on facility utilities (HVAC units, chillers) and production equipment (liquid processing, thermal processing, high-pressure boilers with water treatment, conveyors, high-speed packaging lines).
- Assist in developing preventative-maintenance programs: perform PMs, set scheduling frequency, and write procedures.
- Troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and other processors.
- Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and products.
- Partner with production operators to:
- Meet production schedules by troubleshooting reliability issues and identifying root cause.
- Teach basic PM procedures and equipment adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Assist in sanitation and reassembly to minimize downtime and changeover time.
- Identify process improvements that reduce cost, boost efficiency, or enhance quality and safety.
- Communicate and coordinate with outside vendors and service representatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records, including computer-based data entry.
