Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician II position at Skybridge Seattle Airport Hotel is responsible for performing general and preventative maintenance on all equipment, physical structures, and landscaping in compliance with corporate and franchise standards. This role ensures optimal operations and maximizes guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform general and preventative maintenance on all equipment, physical structures, and landscaping
• Ensure compliance with corporate and franchise standards
• Protect the asset to maximize guest satisfaction
• Communicate effectively with guests and coworkers to maintain positive guest relations
• Manage one's time to meet productivity standards
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily activities
• Manage heavy work tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, balancing, pushing, and pulling
• Operate necessary equipment and perform required duties

Requirements

• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry
• Wall paper and carpet repair skills preferred
• Understanding of fire protection equipment, fire panel, and procedures
• Skilled in one or more of the trades: electrical, plumbing, HVAC
• Read and interpret documents, complete routine reports and logs, and communicate effectively in a courteous manner
• Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required duties
• Heavy work tasks including lifting, carrying, bending, climbing, balancing, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to see, walk, stand, bend, climb, balance, lift, carry, crouch, kneel, push and pull

Qualifications

• Three years’ experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Previous experience in hospitality at a similarly sized property highly preferred
• Previous preventative maintenance experience preferred
• Minimum 25 years of age
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements

Pay

The rate of pay for this position is $26.49 to $27.49 per hour, with a potential for individual incentives and bonuses.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is variable, requiring availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays.
