Maintenance Technician

About the Role

HireOne Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a growing and dynamic team in Perry Hall, MD. This full-time, contract position offers a pay range of $25 to $30/hour and requires 5 years of apartment maintenance experience, including on-call rotation, and experience working in or assisting in managing an apartment community.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work orders and in-unit repairs (HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing)
• Prepare and turn over vacant units for new residents
• Perform snow removal as needed
• Participate in an 8-week rotating on-call schedule (after hours, weekends, holidays)
• Assist with training staff
• Act as supervisor in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• CFC Certification required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to read/write English and perform intermediate math
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, crawling, etc.)
