Maintenance Technician

About the role

Habitat America, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician in Bladensburg, MD for Towns at Hamlet Woods. This is a brand new construction building in Bladensburg, MD. This fast growing, property management company is largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance
• Complete technical maintenance tickets
• Assist with unit turnovers
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
• Understand and oversee work performed by contractors
• Directly report to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager

Requirements

• 3+ years prior apartment maintenance experience
• Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall and painting
• Must be able to work independently and also as a member of a team
• Energetic, self-motivated individual
• Must have a pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Must have reliable transportation
• Requires extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Must be able and willing to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus
• HVAC/CFC Certification is preferred

Pay

Hourly wage is dependent on experience and certification.

Schedule

This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00pm.
