Maintenance Technician

Habitat America, LLC is a fast-growing property management company largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region, currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for Broadview Apartments and Woodcliffe Manor in Baltimore, Maryland. These communities comprise approximately 500 apartment units.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance, including addressing maintenance tickets, assisting with unit turnovers, and participating in the after-hours on-call rotation. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance tickets
• Assist with unit turnovers
• Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation
• Understand and oversee work performed by contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience
• Experience with appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting
• HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Energetic, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively
• Pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Reliable transportation
• Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and participate in an on-call rotation
