Maintenance Technician

Habitat America, LLC is a fast-growing property management company largely based in the Mid-Atlantic region. This position is at The Harbor at Quantico Creek, a senior (55+) apartment community in Dumfries, VA.

About the role

This full-time position is responsible for all technical matters related to general apartment maintenance, including maintenance tickets, unit turnovers, and after-hours on-call rotation. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

Responsibilities

• Perform appliance repairs, general carpentry, basic plumbing, basic electrical work, drywall, and painting
• Assist with unit turnovers
• Participate in after-hours on-call rotation
• Understand and oversee work performed by contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of prior apartment maintenance experience
• Energetic, self-motivated individual who can work independently and as part of a team
• Pleasant and professional demeanor at all times
• Reliable transportation
• Extensive mobility and excellent physical condition
• Ability and willingness to work weekends and be part of an on-call rotation

Qualifications

• HVAC & CFC certifications are a plus

Schedule

Full-time, Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, with weekend and on-call rotation requirements.
