We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a small team responsible for upholding the cleanliness and maintenance of apartment buildings. In this role, you will be heavily involved in general maintenance, working independently and professionally while observing all health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
  • Perform manual repairs (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
  • Conduct pest control activities such as spraying insecticide
  • Undertake general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Other assigned duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a comprehensive background check as a condition of employment

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to traverse property and facility to diagnose building issues and plan repairs or maintenance
  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time
