Responsibilities
- Maintain all production equipment in optimal condition, including regular checks and lubrication as needed.
- Ensure safety circuits are functional to provide a secure working environment.
- Overhaul and rebuild equipment when necessary.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain equipment, including electrical wiring.
- Rebuild machine repair parts to restore them to working condition.
- Possess knowledge in Power Panel Fabrication and hydraulics.
- Ability to interpret schematics for hydraulic components.
- Efficiently diagnose and repair equipment issues.
- Inspect electrical systems for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
- Advise management on potential hazards and necessary adjustments.
- Assist production in various roles as needed (e.g., Set-Up Mechanic, electrician, or machine operator/grinder).
- Follow blueprints/schematics to ensure compliance with building and safety codes.
- Install ground leads and connect power cables.
- Maintain records, order supplies, and prepare reports as necessary.
- Understand PLC function/logic.
- Ensure chillers and processed water receiving are operational daily.
- Optimize material and equipment usage.
- Train personnel as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Keep accurate records and communicate necessary changes to the supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school degree and/or 2-3 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician.
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic devices.
- Ability to use hand tools and perform simple repairs.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to understand and adapt to new information.
- Team player with a commitment to collaborative problem-solving.
