Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This individual would work with our maintenance team and aide in set up, operation, and troubleshooting of machinery on our food processing / packaging lines.

Required Skills

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical failures
• Safe operation of powered forklift (experience encouraged)
• Ability to legibly and accurately complete records
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to interact professionally with other team members

Responsibilities

• Operate production line equipment including tray packer and labeler if needed
• Clean & maintain machines to FDA standards
• Inspect equipment on a routine basis and report any malfunctions or wear and tear to supervisors
• Adhere to and help communicate company safety policies
• Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) Guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices, safety policies, and all other company policies
• Aid team in improving quality and efficiency through continual development of operational techniques that minimize product and packaging waste and maximize product quality
• Assist Supervisor in building a strong team taking responsibility for production crew during Supervisor’s absence or upon request and performing other duties on the line as necessary

Pay & Schedule

• $30 to $35/hr
• 4-Day Work Schedule - Monday – Thursday, approx. 8:00am – 6:30pm. (Shifts may very based on position)
