Duties and responsibilities
- Maintenance of machinery
- Breakdown and adjustment of equipment
- Setting up equipment for daily production
- Preventative maintenance including daily and weekly inspections
- Light plumbing, electrical, welding, and carpentry tasks as needed
- Recommendations for machine upgrades to improve efficiency
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Troubleshooting electrical and PLC systems
Qualifications
- Experience with food packaging machines, e.g., Multivac Tray Sealers, Multivac Thermoforms, Weber (high-speed) Slicers
- Experience with process equipment like Weber Slicers, Pick and Pack Automation
- Advanced mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering schematics (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic)
- Experience with HVAC systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a refrigerated environment
Schedule
Fixed daily hours: Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
Pay
Hourly wage: $35 to $40 per hour
