Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs assigned maintenance tasks, including plumbing, general handyman tasks, and purchasing repair and maintenance materials.
- Maintains and stocks supply inventory; gathers and compiles information.
- Updates computerized maintenance management system as tasks are completed or issues arise.
- Tracks mileage and other reimbursable expenses and submits expense reports monthly.
- Ensures all assigned tasks are performed safely and in compliance with local building codes.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Clock in and out for work shifts and lunch using the company’s timekeeping system.
- Complete required monthly safety training and other training as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of recent experience in maintenance that required driving between work locations.
- Own reliable transportation and valid “clear” driver’s license.
- Able to manage time effectively, prioritizing critical work orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of previous experience in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and other general maintenance activities.
- One to three years of recent experience in maintenance of a multi-unit commercial building or retail environment that required driving between work locations.
