Maintenance Technician
Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
- Aid with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
- Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
- Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems; exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
- Impact team through defined duties, methods, and tasks as described in detail.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
- Attend small operations meetings at the start of the day.
- Complete daily work order assignments, including gathering tools and parts.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.

Preferred Skills
- Commercial experience
- CMMs (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience
Education Requirements
- A High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required; in lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- A trade school preferred
- Any applicable license is nice to have
Required Experience
- 2–3 years of general maintenance or related job experience
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Candidate will be working in an industrial park setting, including office buildings, warehouses, and laboratories
- Must meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs/ladders
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
