Maintenance Technician
About the role
Gil-Mar Manufacturing Company is currently seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Technician to join their team. The position is available on a 1st shift basis, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:15 PM, with Friday and Saturday shifts offering opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform machine maintenance on various types of machines within a manufacturing environment.
- Diagnose and repair issues with CNC's, including dials, presses, and other miscellaneous manufacturing equipment.
- Use CNC controls to diagnose machine repairs through ladder logic.
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls is desired.
- Knowledge of hydraulic pumps and PLCs.
- Maintain mobile equipment such as Hi-Lo, floor scrubbers, and perform minor maintenance tasks like changing oil levels.
- Use Preventative Maintenance check sheets to perform regular inspections and maintenance on equipment, including grease, oil, and belt checks.
- Strive for continuous improvement and may be required to work overtime.
Requirements
- Experience with diagnosing and repairing CNC machines.
- Ability to use CNC controls for diagnostics.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and PLCs.
- Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial equipment.
- Ability to maintain and operate various types of equipment.
- Willingness to work in an industrial setting with continuous exposure to noise.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (safety shoes, ear protection, and safety glasses).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in CNC maintenance or related field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
