Maintenance Technician

About the role

Your Job Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking Maintenance Technicians at the Jonesboro, AR facility. The team is committed to innovating and protecting food and the environment through sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect and test machinery or equipment, diagnose electrical problems, and perform necessary repairs
• Dismantle defective machinery and equipment and correctly install reconditioned, new, or repaired parts
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery or plant equipment as well as installing and repairing electrical apparatus
• Operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools
• Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment
• Plan out and install plumbing assemblies to maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic/pneumatic equipment
• Communicate effectively with team members

Requirements

• 3 years or more Industrial maintenance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience working with a computer, tablet, or smartphone
• Experience with PLC

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field
• Industrial Maintenance Certification

Pay

$24.25 - $31.00 based on experience

Schedule

Train for 30 days Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm. After training, openings on nights (6:55pm to 7am)
