Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions.
- Repair or replace defective parts/components of machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Complete work orders and maintenance logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to prioritize and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and fix basic structures, as necessary to ensure functionality.
- Other duties/projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong H.V.A.C., mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance calls when necessary.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
- Familiarity with maintenance software and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
