Maintenance Technician
This position reports to the Maintenance Manager at QuickSnap in Greenwood, SC. QuickSnap Manufacturing produces QuickSnap one-time flash cameras and waterproof one-time-use cameras for the worldwide retail market, adhering to Fujifilm’s high-quality standards. Operations include molding, assembly, packaging, shipping, and recycling of spent cameras, where 60% of the camera weight is reused.
About the role
You will perform entry-level to complex troubleshooting and repair on manufacturing equipment, including electrical/electronic and mechanical systems. Responsibilities include analyzing, maintaining, and repairing complex equipment, assisting in modifications to improve reliability, and supporting new production techniques.
Responsibilities
- Understand and demonstrate fundamental concepts of mechanical and electrical maintenance at the component level.
- Demonstrate basic competency in at least one mechanical, electrical, or discipline (MED).
- Use problem-solving tools (e.g., why-why analysis, PPA, APS) independently to troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
- Solve routine equipment problems using sound troubleshooting approaches and recommend countermeasures.
- Make decisions about system-level issues that may impact product quality or internal customer service.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and components of industrial machinery.
- Perform cross-functional communication related to maintenance activities.
- Write work procedures and trouble reports.
- Participate in projects under upper management direction.
- Develop advanced troubleshooting skills for electro/mechanical systems.
- Investigate malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement permanent countermeasures with the maintenance team.
- Locate, install, maintain, test, and repair industrial electrical/electronic equipment using schematics, blueprints, PLC programs, and verbal/written instructions.
- Work within a strict Management of Change (MOC) environment.
- Perform scheduled preventative/predictive maintenance and document details in Fujifilm’s CMMS (Maximo).
- Support emergency maintenance, on-call rotations, and off-hours work as needed.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve goals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Adhere to Fujifilm’s Employee Code of Conduct and Safety Policies, including hazardous waste handling and labeling.
Requirements
- Technical degree from a two-year college or equivalent combination of education/apprenticeship (mechanical/electrical preferred).
- Competency in the Management of Change (MOC) process.
- Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass safety training (e.g., lockout/tagout, hazard communication, ISO).
- Forklift certification and ability to operate powered forklift trucks.
- Team-based work ethic supporting all maintenance activities.

Training & Schedule
Training is conducted on 1st shift: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with a half-day on Friday (7:00 AM–11:00 AM). Must take on-call duty one day per week (5:00 PM–5:00 AM). Training duration is 6 months to 1 year. After training, the position transitions to a rotating schedule.
