About the Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems within our cold storage facility. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery, equipment, and systems, including refrigeration units, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures while performing maintenance tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
What You Bring to the Pak
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a cold storage or similar environment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: HACCP, BRC required. OSHA certification a plus.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.

Pay Range: $16.81 – $23.41 per hour
Schedule: Full Time | Mon-Fri, 9:00am-5:30pm
