Maintenance Technician

About the Role

The Plant Operations Technician (Maintenance Technician) is responsible for the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate and efficient maintenance. This will be accomplished through the performance of simple tasks that require the application of general maintenance and repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment. The Maintenance Tech serves as a member of the Maintenance team that is responsible for the physical condition of all buildings on campus. This Full-Time position will require a rotating weekend on-call phone.

• Perform essential duties related to residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances.
• Effectively communicate and work with residents and staff.
• Maintain a warm, friendly, and caring manner on first impression.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and visitors.
• Uphold the highest level of confidentiality.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of residential building maintenance (plumbing, electrical, flooring, appliances).
• Ability to function under general supervision.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
