Maintenance Technician
About the Role
Fluidra is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in West Valley City, UT. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment in support of the site’s business objectives. This position will also be involved in safety programs, forklift training, and facility improvement projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Perform scheduled and emergency repairs of production machinery and other equipment within the facility.
- Diagnose problems, and replace or repair machinery, parts, and tools.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance performed on all equipment and systems.
- Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Promote safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Serve as point of contact for safety programs and supplies.
- Perform “handyman” maintenance duties such as furniture moves, aesthetic projects, light construction, exterior facilities improvements/maintenance, and assist with janitorial functions at times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Facilities, Maintenance, and Safety.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
Requirements
- Maintenance experience.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to interpret repair manuals.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Strong time management skills.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High sense of urgency and outstanding follow-through abilities.
- Experience operating forklifts preferred.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
