The Team You’ll Work With
As the Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will work directly with our talented Maintenance team to ensure the optimal functionality of our industrial equipment through proactive maintenance and timely repairs. The Maintenance Technician will diagnose and repair a wide range of industrial equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, presses, kilns, automated systems, mobile equipment, and pumps. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and is located onsite in Spokane, WA.
The opportunities you will have
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical components (pumps, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics) and performing both preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and manufacturer manuals; capable of calibrating machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Problem Solving & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills, able to systematically identify issues, engage with operators, and maintain clear documentation of work performed.
- Safety & Compliance: Follows OSHA Safety Regulations, and Building Code Standards, and uses PPE and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures during maintenance work.
- Equipment Operation & Teamwork: Operates forklifts, scissor lifts, and cranes; contributes to team goals with a collaborative approach, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
About You
- Basic experience in industrial electrical equipment maintenance and repair
- Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)
- Experience in maintaining industrial equipment
- Fabrication is a plus and basic plumbing
- Experience in automated assembly operations
- Experience with high-speed continuous motion production lines
- High School Diploma or GED, with technical training (Or experience equivalent)
- Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of industrial machinery, tools, and mechanical drive systems
- Able to interpret and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Reliable, adaptable, and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Electrical skills, including experience wiring 3-phase motors
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
- Able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Able to work in varying temperature environments and areas with dust and chemicals
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving technologies
- Able to safely operate a forklift
- Valid driver's license
- You must supply your own basic tools
