What You Will Do
- Maintains production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Completes preventive and reactive maintenance on electric arc furnaces, material handling systems, overhead cranes, industrial dust collectors, etc.
- Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, engineering specifications and safety policies.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of equipment by using hand and power tools, levels, and straightedges.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop and weld shop instrumentation and equipment.
What We Seek
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Highly safety oriented
- Ability to work in very high and low temperatures
- Welding: 2 years + (Preferred)

Pay Grades
- Tech 1: Entry Level with applicable skillset.
- Tech 2: Familiar with all areas of the plant, can contribute to any maintenance task.
- Tech 3: Mastery Level, leads tasks and projects, can serve as backup to Maintenance Supervisor.
Schedule
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
Salary
$29.04 - $31.99 per hour
Working Environment
- Performs jobs under varying conditions (dust, oil, grease, hot and humid temperatures, fumes, noise, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50lbs, Floor to waist, Waist to shoulder.
- Overhead, Carry 20 feet
- Wears proper PPE in the manufacturing area (shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection)
