Maintenance Technician

Feed Energy is a company that supports feeding and fueling the world through sustainable practices. The role requires passing a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work to meet production and schedule requirements.
• Document daily maintenance activities, monthly checklists, tank inspections, weekly housekeeping logs.
• Maintain, test, and perform preventative maintenance on boilers at prescribed intervals.
• Troubleshoot and perform routine mechanical functions including electrical, air and electrical pumps, steam and condensate systems, pipefitting, welding, changing valves, measuring brackets, putting gaskets, etc.
• Proactively plan future preventative maintenance, capital and budgets, then perform the work on all equipment.
• Manage inventory of parts, tools, price shop and order parts, etc., necessary to perform maintenance and repairs on all equipment.
• Prepare reports for services rendered, tools used, or time required for billing purposes.
• Contribute as a team member or Safety Committee in Operations to ensure maintenance needs are being met.
• Follow safety rules, PPE, and ensure safety training and compliance is up to date.
• Be on-call and available to take care of maintenance needs that arise outside of normal working hours as assigned by Plant Manager or Mechanical Services Manager.
• Provide customer service and maintenance assistance as required by external customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of experience in plant related maintenance.
• Ability to operate Forklift/skid loader equipment, Drivers’ license required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical (110V, 240V and 480V single and 3-phrase).
• Pipe fitting, pipe fabrication and threading, welding, air and electrical pump experience.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of computers, Excel, Word, etc.
• Knowledge of automation and process controls.
• Aptitude for fiber glass piping is a plus.
