About the role
This part-time position performs a wide range of facilities services to support maintenance operations across our clinics and facilities. The role supports facility upkeep, preventive maintenance, painting projects, repairs, deliveries, furniture assembly, fleet maintenance, and special projects under the direction of the Operations Manager.
Hours are 16–24 per week, depending on the employee’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine building repairs and maintenance
- Replace HVAC filters and lighting fixtures
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces and perform drywall repair
- Assist with furniture assembly and office moves
- Complete basic plumbing, carpentry, and facility repairs
- Monitor and schedule vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Perform snow removal and exterior upkeep as needed
- Respond to urgent maintenance needs as assigned
- Travel between Family Health Services locations as needed
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures, reporting hazards, and participating in safety training and committees
- Ensure accurate documenting and billing practices in compliance with Medicare and other regulations
- Participate in Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) initiatives as an active team member
- Read and comply with all operational, safety, and environmental policies and procedures relevant to the job
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
- Unrestricted valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to lift objects routinely between 50–75 lbs
- Ability to work various hours, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade
- Ability to travel between FHS facilities as required
- Knowledge of one or more building trades
- Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Records of maintenance skills
Pay
Starting pay of $15.50 per hour. Employees are eligible for a quarterly bonus.
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office environment. No or very limited physical effort is required beyond routine lifting. No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
