Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment, utilizing prints, schematics, and knowledge of electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs as necessary.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
• Perform highly diversified duties to maintain production machines and the facility’s equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for equipment and auxiliary equipment.
• Works to provide a safe and clean work environment for employees.
• Maintain building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, and plumbing including waste and process plumbing.
• Aid in maintenance record keeping and documentation.

Qualifications

• Electrical background is a requirement.
• Plastic industry experience is preferred and experience in extrusion and thermoforming is beneficial.
• Must be able to troubleshoot electrical controls.
• Must have attention to detail, a sense of urgency, be self-directed, and display strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to communicate and work well with others.
• 2 + years of maintenance experience.
